D103 Parent Education: Dr. Mandi Croft-Petoskey

D103 PTO welcomes back Dr. Mandi Croft-Petosky and Ms. Amanda Moons of Neuro Educational Specialists to delve further into executive functioning skills and how we as parents can help our children develop these much needed skills and facilitate change. Executive Functioning encompasses so many necessary skills that help children be succeed in school and beyond. Dr. Croft -Petosky and Ms. Moons will explain the importance of executive functioning skills. They will also walk us through 4 key areas of executive functioning and what practical steps parents can take at home to facilitate the development of these skills. The four Key areas our speakers will cover are:

1. Sustained Attention/Working Memory

2.Planning/Prioritizing/Organization/Goal Directed

3. Time Management

4. Stress Tolerance/Emotional Control/Self-Regulation

We believe Dr. Croft-Petosky and Ms. Moons will provide many practical tips that will empower parents to help their children.
