The Teenage Brain: How brain function impacts learning

Dr. Mandi Croft from Neuro Educational Specialists will lead a discussion on adolescent brain development.  Participants will hear about mental health in the schools and the impact of social media on brain development.  Dr. Croft will present what anxiety, depression, ADHD and autism look like in the brain and what can parents do with this knowledge. Alex Stoller, Complete Integrative Health believes nutrition is the single most important factor in determining the condition of our overall health, physical and mental performance, and body composition.  Parents know the correlation between a diet high in refined sugars and impaired brain function.  Poor nutrition compounds the symptoms of mood disorders, such as depression.
